ok so i know duscussing methods is a big no no… but whatever.
a doctor in australia just got charged with killing his wife with a lethal dose of insulin. i have checked online about this but i just seem to find misinformation.
anyone diabetic or know of this as a thing? i know people can end up in diabetic coma from various things and it just kinda strikes me as a pretty painless method to ctb. been in a coma and all. i guess one might need some sleepers to help but…. anyway im just interested.
disclaimer.. although im pretty sad atm im further away from suicide than i have been in a loooong time. so this aint a cry for help.

Insulin overdose can lead to anaphylactic shock if I’m not mistaken. Which, there’s no guarantee that it will kill you if you can metabolize it and your body will re-regulate your natural blood sugar.
I’d highly recommend not doing this. It will highly suck and not be what you want at all.
I really hope you’re not in a bad place right now.
To be honest I wouldn’t even consider it an option. Everyone’s body is different. And there’s no way to gauge if it would be a painful experience or not. Especially when you account for mental disorders like anxiety disorders, or cardiovascular disorders. Once your body starts to atrophy there’s a good chance that your brain would begin to project what you’re feeling as intense pain (Even if that’s not necessarily the case. It will feel real enough to make you believe it is).
I think I looked into this a few years ago and got highly turned off to the idea.
Well some years ago. I was a very suicidal person. During that time I read some books about methods and research all the best methods. Insulin was not anywhere on the list as far as being a good method to use. So my take on it. Is that it is not a good way to try and end it
Yes > I am sure that a person can die that way. But its not very fullproof. And given that its not one of the more fullproof methods I believe that a lot of things could potentially go wrong.
I would not try such a method. there are too many other ways that are much better then that
thats just my 2 cents
anyway I hope that you are able to work through your issues and live.
I hope that things get better for you!
I wish you the best
All drugs are poisonous, it’s dosage dependant.
As there is a link between depression and diabetes there are studies which look into suicide via insulin overdose. The consequences of prolonged hypoglycaemia, which can happen from a failed attempt can be extremely dire and result in severe neurologic sequelae so this method is *not* advised.
thanks for ur feedback. it was really purely out of interest as i have never heard of anyone dieing this way.
i just got clean from heroin and quit smoking cigarettes. .. the last thing i want is to die at this point in my life. i really do appreciate ur kind words tho. gives me faith in humamity.
