I wish I could believe in God. I wish I could convince myself that there was some omniscient, all loving being with the power to guide me and influence my circumstances for the better. I wish I could believe that there was a perennial force looking out for me and giving ubiquitous company. It’s time.

A Christmas Note

This is just a quick note to wish everyone on SP well during the holidays. I realize this is one of the most difficult periods for many people here and it can be Hell having everyone else’s happiness and enjoyment thrown in your face for the better part of two weeks. Personally, I’m not too crazy about this time of year myself (even though things in my life are a little better than in previous years), but I suppose it is what it is.

Anyway, I hope everyone is able to make the best that they can out of the holidays.

people should really work on being more positive and encouraging, yeah people may not care about you and you may not have a strong support system but you owe it to yourself to care and love the person you are. yes easier said that done, but don’t be so negative about it. get into a mind set that you will change for the better and you are already half way there. change your attitude and things tend to follow. Does anyone else really dislike activists?

I suppose what I really mean is zealots in general, whether its religious, political, or ideological. Just anyone that is so completely convinced in their own beliefs for any cause that they are totally uncompromising and fanatical about it. Just the self righteous arrogance of it. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for many years now. I usually never thought of my current situation as being that depressing though. I’m on active duty and my duty station of the last 2.5 years has been the worst, but in the last year I felt like I made the most of it.

Yet, earlier this week, I realized that I do not value life. I don’t value mine. I don’t necessarily de-value the lives of others (I’m NOT homicidal) but the idea of losing people no longer fazes me. I’m really numb to grieving at this point.

I’m losing my mind here. Recently, I have been expelled from the best school in Canada, all because of my ex girlfriend’s friend’s lies. We were walking out of my school, I was talking with my ex. Suddenly, my ex’s friend, let’s call her Sue, turns around, puts a pearl ring on, and threatens to punch me in the face with it.
