I’ve lived with it most of my life, many people do. First, don’t let the shrinks put you on pills. That solves nothing and only masks the problems. At best it makes things easier for you to ‘ignore’. Second, realize that there will be up’s and down’s. No one gets a perfect life. We deal with the down days by staying occupied and looking for ways to make things better. Read a book, play a video game, go for a drive etc…don’t let your mind dwell on the negative. Instead either stay busy, or ask yourself what you can do to improve yourself and/or your situation.
Find a way to make someone else smile 🙂 and that will help to make you smile too! Stay away from drugs and booze as they only make it harder to make good decisions, and they also make our emotions much harder to deal with. Then make a game plan for improving things. If you have lousy people around you then distance yourself from them and, patiently, look for some nicer folks to spend time with.
You must be patient, expect bad days…and good ones too. Don’t let the down times lead you to making bad decisions and don’t forget that good days accidentally happen too!
Don’t expect to have love and smiles everyday, and don’t expect these things to come your way unless you make a Effort to find and create them. Again, don’t let the down times dominate your thoughts and actions and eventually…you will be fine, happy (most of the time) and SMILING! 🙂
