Im pretty sure theres a guy on here from New Zealand. Im from Australia. I think the majority of people on here are either from the U.S or U.K as usual its just like all the other sites
That’s weird. Suicide rate in New Zealand is higher than that in the U.S. and U.K. I’m not sure about the rate in Australia.
@Paul_1991: Why do you want to die? I have wanted to kill myself, but I can’t do it because of my family. I wish I was in Christchurch when the earthquake happened. I wish I could trade my life for those who want theirs. They didn’t deserve to die.
@lostsoul: can I ask, why/how come there are so many people who actually committed suicide in New Zealand,..of all places?
I mean, my little brother a few years ago just came back from tour/vacation in New Zealand, and he even swears that if he’s given a chance, he will without ANY single doubt move to there, because everything just seems very PEACEFUL and people there are -according to him- “seems very supportive, warm, and not greedy/materialistic like in many modern cities/societies nowadays”
so this is why I’m very curious..
please tell me why do you think so many people committed suicides there..
honestly, I’m quite surprised to know about it..
I guess nowhere is perfect in this world, eh?..
I am from Australia as well, it sometimes frustrates me that most of the conversations are going on while I am asleep.
Hi brothers and sisters in this corner of the world.
I ain’t surprised people wanna die; this world is fucked up and is run by greedy capitalists, political extremists, religious nutters and war mongers who seem intent on wiping us and everything other living thing out…
I wish this world is run more by:
– artists (artistic & creative people)
– scientists & researchers (the genuine one of course)
– environmentalist and/or naturalists
– philosophers
– spiritualists like Indigo, Starseeds, Crystal Children, Lightworkers, etc.
Now those are REAL interesting people,
unlike those ‘dogs’ you mentioned above, Shelly.
unfortunately and sadly, this real world is fucking upside-down, so the worst people seem to live longer & happier than the good people who should be the ones who deserve it… hallelujah!
@lostsoul49: I know..but somehow I always thought that Environment (ie: where you live) play such a HUGE role in determining whether a person can be *more* happy or sad,..and I just never thought that with place as ‘peaceful, warm & nature’ (depicted by my brother who visited there last year) as New Zealand can actually still have its people committing suicides, not to mention also very high rates of suicides!
what do you think is the main causes for high suicide rate in NZ, lostsoul?
I’d like to know
@niki: I have never done any research on that, so I’m not sure about the main causes. But, I know there were kids in my school who were hospitalised because they cut themselves and attempted suicide. They had issues with their families. There are tons of cases like that. It’s just the media and people here don’t talk about it much. You can google it if you really want to know.
@niki: There are many social problems in NZ like everywhere else. They should be the main causes of the high suicide rate in NZ. The unpolluted environment and warm weather can’t reduce the rate at all.
I’m from Indonesia.
I see…social problems
here it’s the same, PLUS the bad environment lol
but I guess the ‘plus’ side here, as many expats said, here the life pace is not as fast as many other developed cities/countries, and that here “you can be Kings if you have lots of money”
but like you, those things doesn’t mean I’m happy
if anything, the bad environment like crazy traffic jam, bad pollution, development, and lack of green/open spaces, just excarbated the stress even more..
Its good that you havnt been..lol dont bother comin here…you’ll get nutin out of here…its crap…filled with nasty awfull worthless humans….here if you trip n fall…no one is gonna care…they wont bother with you…they mind their own crap here…ppl here get mugged n all crapp n ppl beg for mercy to be saved but all ppl do is just watch….=/

Hi brothers and sisters in this corner of the world.
Hey! Actually I think Australia has one of the highest suicide rates in the Western world, didn’t know about NZ tho it doesn’t surprise me…
Japan, Korea and Eastern Europe also have high suicide rates…

@niki @shelly- completely agree…
@niki: New Zealand is not the HEAVEN. People here have the same problems.
