Some time this week, I was planning on cutting my arm really bad and then going to the nurse and counselor about it. What do you guys think would happen? Would they send me straight from school to a psychiatric hospital? Would they just call my parents and have them start taking me to a psychiatrist?

I don’t think you will be sent to a hospital. Lots of kids cut.
But I mean like I’m gonna cut a lot and really deep right there at school so I’ll be bleeding a lot
they would tell your school counselor and they would then tell your parents thats if you are going to tell then the truth
I don’t think you should do that…….People may(will) tease you and make your school life hell. If you just want help just go to them (secretly) but don’t cut…..I personally wouldn’t go to them because school records and things like that, but if you do really need or want help just go to your counselor and talk to them about it. I can’t do that because my counselor is not very trustworthy, secretive, and she is just plain rude. They will contact your parents for sure, but I’m not sure if they would send you to the shrink or something, It is solely the parents or yours decision.

They’ll call your parents and tell them exactly what happened. They did it to me, it sucks.
i suppose you are doing this for help,
you should talk to your parents about it before anything,
when i got caught at school, i was lucky enough they didnt call my parents,
but i did have to see the school psychologist on a daily basis,
it didnt do much help..
you should consider telling your parents the truth instead, but dont forget..
they will hurt when they see you hurting yourself..
My parents won’t be hurt when they find out I hurt myself. They are the most unsupportive, ignorant people when it comes to mental illnesses like depression.
