Blood Tears

that isn’t the look of peaceful beauty. You look sad. You look like you need someone to tell you it will be better tomorrow. All you have to do is keep putting one foot in front of the other. And things will get better.
Who are we kidding? You have heard it all too. Your eyes tell the whole story. It does get better. But only with monumental effort. And then in a blink of an eye, all the good is gone again. And you find yourself worse off than before all the effort you put in to reaching that last milestone.
I’m old and tired. You look young enough to bounce back from a few more setbacks. Take the word of a 45yr old: you still have a lot of ups and downs before you. I won’t candy coat it. The good and pain will compete to be the leader. Just give life a little more time.
