NOTE:Â This really isn’t a good poem but i thought, i’d share anyway
Where are you?
I’m listening for you
closely and carefully, I watched you
I swore, i wouldn’t let you go
even when you insisted to do so
Hours pass on…
i still cannot find you. please come out and play
remember i told you, there is always a way
why do you hide?
is it because I cry?
or is because I know, you always lie?
The world still spins
make it stop
before I give up on my knee’s
and drop
no more running, come out where i can see
please, i beg of you..do not be afraid of me
I won’t hurt you. I promise you dear
I may have the knife but there is nothing to fear
I protected you all this time but you still run from me
did i hold you tight? or did i watch you too carefully?
but finally!, there i see, behind a tree
the girl i love, the one who stares at me
she started to walk, then started to run
a smile appeared on my face before I saw a gun
she shoots me once then she shoots me twice
I fall to my knee’s, paying the price
she stands over me proud and tall
laughing as I start to crawl
She turns around and walks away
and that was the last time, i asked her to stay

I see the irony in your first statement in regards to the remainder of your post. In any event: 11/10 – I’m gutted! (in a good way of course, and a hunting reference lol)
Hmm…I can see this as being an excellent spoken word piece of writing to be honest. I love how it paints a picture of being pursued by a somewhat ‘hapless’ lover shall I say, who in turn just so happens to be shot down by the very one whom they are so enthralled with – I actually felt like a crazed woman with a rifle was after me when I read this. Awesome!
Thanks for sharing, Meris.
