Latly I’ve been having these feelings that suicide is the way to go. It started out with depression and has since moved into these bad moments of me just feeling so horibble I just go straight to suicide. Its hard for me to open up, I’m Marine so to all my friends and familyni am su pposed to be the big strong one. The one who has it together. When its far from the truth. I recently took some leave to see my friends and family and while I had some good times, it wss hard to enjoy others since I was in a trap of deep depression in my own head as everything else kept going on normally. I just don’t know how to continue with these feelings. There harder to deal with than anything else I have ever dealt with before.

The most important thing when you’re feeling this way is to power down our hunker down. Find a safe, quiet, stable, calm, private space where you are warm, dry, and near creature comforts. When you hit that low it’s important to make a list (or several lists) of the things you need, how to get them, and a 72 hour plan. Be well fed. Don’t take substances unless they’re prescribed, and when you have moderated your emotions a little bit schedule an appointment to talk to someone, a counselor, doctor, priest, someone who can give you advice and some one you trust.
If you can’t do these things go to a restaurant and order a good meal, go for a jog, break the pattern. Once you are conditioned to have an emotional response to particular circumstances it becomes easier to go back to that particular emotional state.

I have a better response that will come through soon. you need to go and take care of yourself by making sure that you have all of the things you need. For instance if you really like food eat your favorite food if you are anxious get to a place that is calm and quiet and drink some tea or some water. Try to avoid substances unless they’re prescribed and make a 72-hour plan. This plan should include things for self-nurturing and self-care because it sounds like at the moment you really need to take care of yourself.
