HEY! Im a guy from Finland who was once suicidal, but overcame my suicidal thoughts and am here to listen to people if there interested and can offer advice on a wide range of issues.
If you like, you can email me at Tomialatalo@inbox.com I just want to say, that i’ve been there, and know just how far that deep, dark rabbit hole really goes! I have gone through a lot of bullshit in my life, but GOD has always been there helping me out of that rabbit hole! Just saying. Im kind of a “life consultant” if you will. I cant perform miracles, but i can point to many times that GOD has performed miracles in my life! He loves me, he loves you, and he can help out ways you never thought possible! If your feeling depressed, please reach out to him in prayer! Yeshua said who ever knocks wil be answered. Dont waste your opportunity!

I wish your god was an equal opportunity healer
I am a victim of prolonged abuse in the name of “god”… isolation and emotional abuse including components of brainwashing. I suffer now from psychological damage. My growing up environment has been compared to a cult. No friends (no friends from church either) … relatives cut off, visitors not welcome and neither was visiting. … all from the day that I was borne into the world. Psychologists have placed it in the severe category of abuse and a cult All in the name of “god”. My siblings and I are f*cked. We each have our own psychological scars.
God either exists and doesn’t give a shit. “God” did not answer my prayers and seemingly left us at the hands of a cult environment resulting in long-term psychological damage. “God” simply cannot exist.
People have said that “it is gods’ will”. The typical cop-out for people trying to find order and reason to things that otherwise wouldn’t. I guess the same logic would be applied to children being raped and tortured… it’s a good line for a pedophile to use on their victims… “It’s gods will”…(after all, God won’t save the children and stop the pedophile) .
I try to be laissez-faire atheist- “hey, if your religion works for you, that’s fine.” But it is hard when I know so many people are killed, abused and tortured in the name of religion. Or just simply made miserable. Your post put me in mind of a quote by Epicurius:
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
