I thought about writing a poem examining the similarities of dancing and typing (writing). However, it’s impossible to wring out a dried sponge. Hahahehehoha… Anyone up for scrambled eggs? I’m sure my brain is just as scrambled and just as tasteless. It sucks living in both the past and the present. A world of reality and fantasy every single day… Every goddamn second! Even as I type, the responses are being predicted or would it be lack of? I’m not sure I even care, maybe I’m just trying to prevent myself from banging my head into the wall over and over… My head hurts and makes me want to feel Death’s embrace. Would being stabbed hurt anymore than scratching or ripping? A part of me wants to find out while the others don’t… And that confusion scares me. Which self will I follow to indulge its chosen whim?

@Zet: here a little bit of eye and ear candy. www. youtube. com/watch?v=ph75qAMr5tc
I was actually debating starting a thread with some music for you, I have no idea why. Something inspirational and possibly Japanese with 30 string…
Then I read this and though, nah fuckit, this is what is needed.
Plus, and this makes no sense to me at all, when I saw the name “snow crash” your name totally popped into my head. I’ve read the cyberpunk novel and I’m not sure if it has any thing to do with that…
Haze, No “end of life” in Snow Crash, and I’ve got a pretty good memory for those things.
Zet, surely you know the Anglo keyboard layout is designed to slow people down. Human legs, on the other hand, aren’t designed that way at all. If you could find evidence that Mark Twain was a dancer then I promise you would have a lucrative movie deal.
@see; it’s been a while since I read snowcrash. I read one of his very recent books last year. He still has it. totally missed the Mark Twain reference, I think i need to drink more.
Anathem? Not that new. I read last spring. Do not miss Cryptonomicon if you haven’t read it. Wonderful meaty book. Hated Quicksilver. Diamond Age was fun.
Twain lost the equivalent of $8,200,000 on the Paige typesetting machine, a beautifully engineered mechanical marvel that was prone to breakdowns. He lost not only the bulk of his book profits but also a substantial portion of his wife’s inheritance.
For some reason now i really want to see a Mark Twain inspired musical. Other than that… my guess is that stabbing will hurt more, because i’ve actually stabbed myself (by mistake tho)… and yup, no need to prove that one, just gave you the answer 😀
Arara, I was watching Astaire when I wrote that, SeeSmith.
Def my fave dancer! So many of his movies I like to watch around Xmas. Time to get out those DVDs again.
