*This isn’t a step by step tutorial or anything it’s just statistics and scientific things you may want to know before you end it all.
- Lethality: How likely is the method to cause death (where 0% is no chance, and 100% is absolute certainty)
- Time: An opinion on the length of time the method will require to produce death
- Agony: The amount of physical pain and discomfort you would expect from the use of the particular method (ranked on scale of 0 to 100 where 0 is no pain/discomfort and 100 is the most pain/discomfort possible)

can we please not post that list since a lot of it is utter BS?, as preciously stated
in terms of Agony that is
Sorry if this has triggered you that was not my intention. I only posted this so if someone were considering it they would at the very least be informed of certain things.
And could you please explain what you mean by how the agony scale is BS? I do not mean in a condescending way I just don’t fully understand what you mean.
not triggered, so dont worry, that list just annoys me since its BS n some parts, it does also state somewhere on the site i believe it doesn’t take into account all the facts, like the “true” method, but just a abbreviation of the term
Like,
a proper hanging is painless, snaps neck, done,
Suspension while slow, you just drift off, with not much pain either
however, screw up and it can be the most agonizing slow fail
Electrocution, again, done right, death is almost instantaneously, heart/brain shuts of immediately
Cutting, done right, very painless, combined with a proper tool, even more painless
Cutting throat, again see cutting, issue is mostly is people don’t cut the carotid, much less the jugular(thanks to media those 2 gets mixed up), but cut their “throat”, windpipe and larynx
Drugs, again, vary greatly depending on the drug and amount,
most OTC are excruciatingly painful
even a lot of prescription drugs are not so painless as the list leads to believe
and thanks to catalysts in cars Carbon monoxide is not only more difficult now, but when people attempt its far from smooth and painless, like the olden days
hell they’d be better off trying carbon dioxide.
my problem with the Agony aspect of the list is it just tries to stroll over what is a lot more complex than it tries to make it sound, and mixes methods/data that shouldn’t be together.
I remember reading this off of some site, if it’s true then I’ll either use my shotgun, (which I’ve had for a while know) or jump from a really high building upside down so as to maximize the damage.
key word being “high”, 3 stories ain’t enough, take my word for it 😉
@TheLastSnorlax
Oh okay I see your point and I do agree with a lot you stated. I do think though that the list rates it’s by the common person (Who will probably, will not know how to do it correctly), but I do agree with you, it is flawed.
Yes, there is a big difference between what the typical person will do and what someone who’s done serious research will do. Plus, there are other options besides those that show up on lists like these.
also the difference from success and fail
a success doesn’t really yield much quantifiable data
whilst a failure will often lead to a “whiny” ´victim because most humans have a low pain tolerance, or a skewed view on pain
and even more failures is often a result of not doing it right, because it’s maybe not what they truly wanted,
people that truly want it, and either research or know some stuff, often don’t survive as much
to me, that list represents/is mainly for, the group that don’t really truly desire death, and can thus serve to help scare them off to a better direction for something they might need or can use a bit better
the group that has already made up their mind, well they probably got their plans made regardless of the list
Is anyone here afraid of going to hell after they die?
lol no why would I?
even if Hell was real (which i strongly don’t believe) I would welcome it with open arms,
because that would mean God was real, and at least some other bastards got judged and sent to Hell alongside me, and others got to go to Heaven
So win win?
Look out Lucie, I’m coming home!
@Needtoendit Terrified. One of the big reasons I haven’t done it yet. I mean it could just all be a fib but what if it wasn’t? Wouldn’t killing myself be pointless and quite idiotic? All I would do is make things worse… Ugh, there really is just no escape.
No, because it’s hell that I’m leaving.
I’ve seen the site that lists these, and nowhere does it mention dehydration/starvation (aka VSED), which is going to be my way.
