From experiences Ive had… Im starting to think that the afterlife may be like being pure consciousness… and able to blend or jump into things. Not being a person with arms and legs.. but a light that can move as fast as thought.
I think it’s nothingness.. ‘we’ are the expression of a single organ that deludes us into thinking we are more than this for the interests of self preservation. When the brain gets damaged, so does the person based on where you get hit and when we go under anaesthetic ‘we’ shut down and don’t go to another place… I think the world just carries on and we don’t know we’re dead. I have the same imaginations… what happens when I die? But I’ve seen the reality and refuse to believe it… I will writhe in extreme pain and suffocation until my brain ceases activity, that’s where I’ll go. Perhaps I’ll be reincarnated in this world or another but I don’t know about it, just like how others deaths and who we might’ve been previously is relevant to us today.
eh personally i think it just doesn’t exist. you die, consciousness ends there. there is nothing after. we can’t really imagine not existing (since it is completely dichotomic with what we are, i.e. alive) , so we imagine not having a body, or *being* something else, but this is different … there is no *being* to speak of … the self just doesn’t persist beyond death because it is entirely physical and contained within the body.
…and to be honest that is what i hope it’s like. complete obliteration, no trace of consciousness, nothing except an inert piece of flesh left…dust to dust. it’s easier that way.

Im kinda hoping now that it will just be nothingness.

Better than my idea of the Afterlife.
