My name is Holly. I am 26 years old and at 16 lost my father to suicide. I found him hanging in my room and that image will be one that will stay with me forever.

I created a group on face book about a year and a half ago called ‘Families Dealing with Suicide’. To date I have around 530 members. I am on this group everyday an do my very best to reply to everyone that comments or posts to the wall.

Emotions. I wish they would just kill me, finally. So I won’t have to continue to live with them.

well, I almost had to go to the doctor today after telling the doc how I’ve been feeling.
She wanted me to stay in the hospital, but yet again,
we dont have the money.
I know I need help, professional help, and I’m not gonna find that from my mom.
Yeah she went through depression, but she still deals with it now.
I want to see a therapist, but we don’t have any money.
Because theres a lot of things I can’t tell my mom or anyone else.
And I would feel more comfortable telling a stranger.

I thought I was going somewhere with my life. I was depressed and had ADD all the way from 3rd grade until when I graduated high school. I got a job, I started taking classes at a community college for radiology. I’ve decided, I don’t think I can work in health care. My mom scheduled me an appointment after telling her that my suicidal thoughts have turned into me full on planning to kill myself. I wish I didn’t tell her, but it just came out.
