I am new to the suicideproject.
I have been browsing the site, and I have seen some very interesting writing and many other creative things. This place seems like it could be engaging to me. There seems to be a lovely sardonic nature to the comments as well. I guess you could say that I am genuinely interested.
I have been struggling with depression for many years, and I hope to find some people to relate to. Please ask me whatever you would like, it will help me get acclimated to this site.

It makes me upset when I, or others post about things that are bothering us and are kicked around by some hateful comments. I hate that. For example, “Try living my life for one damn day I don’t cry about it on some shitty website 24/7 for attention. Get over your lesbian self harming self.”. We just need to vent. If people really are on here because they consider being miserable some sort of giant competition, what do you possibly gain out of it? I’m just on here to vent when I feel really shitty. Okay so I got on my soapbox about loneliness and how shitty the world is. Been doing this for a long time so it feels like home. I received several comments about getting out and so I did. I’ve always had a number of acquaintances but not many close friends. Relationships have always occurred at a distance – like walking down a beach and seeing people off in the distance. People don’t seem to knock at my door -and I spend holidays alone (hate holidays). I make flippant comments to strangers – some smile, some think I’m insane. is there any point in any of us being on this earth all it leads is people going into dispair and depression or hurt. Why do we have to go through this? I’m a writer working on a piece of fiction with the main character struggling with suicidal thoughts. I want this story to feel real, to connect with those who struggle/have struggled with suicide as well as those on the outside looking in. When I read the comments to some stories, I wonder why people say the things they do. People who tell others to “stay strong” and “don’t give up” yet are overcome with manic depression and revolving thoughts of suicide. Why do we say things that are so hypocritical? I’ve just been reading a post from about six months ago on here, and it saddens me how many users that commented on it no longer post on here.
I mean they could have turned their life around and maybe they not longer need a suicidal forum but I kind of suspect from the nature of their comments that they’re no longer with us.
What makes me even sadder is wondering who’ll still be here in six months. How many people I’ve spoken to on here on a daily basis for weeks will still be around.
I won’t be here in six months.

My suicide plan is to get right with God so I can have at least a little chance of making into heaven, then hang myself or Carbon Monoxide poisoning. The latter seems like the least painful way of doing it but it takes a while and sometimes isn’t even done correctly.
