Dedication, intensity, effort, practice, determination… all those words in Gatorade commercials: sometimes you just, fail.
You get back up again, and fail again. Every failure hurts. You see people trying until they succeed, but you never see someone trying and failing all the time. If you try a a hundred times, they tell you you’ll succeed the 101st time. If you try a thousand times, you’ll succeed 1001. At what time can you quit and you’re not a quitter? You tried, you failed….. you’re a failure. You stop trying, you’re a quitter. You tell yourself you don’t care. It might even be true after a while. Passion becomes scorn or dies in apathy.
Whose fault is it? Others’ for succeeding? No. Others’ for not helping you succeed? No.  Yourself for not being good enough? I guess so. Yourself for feeling sorry for yourself? That’s a good “go to” advice that means nothing. A fatalistic “it is what it is.” There’s something about “destined for failure” that brings no comfort.
You have to succeed to feel good. You have to succeed to brag, to be justified for the effort. If you fail, you have nothing. You have worse than nothing. You have failure in you. On you. In everything you are. If it all comes to one point, one chance to succeed, and you fail. If you know you’re going to fail. How can you live that down. I’ve swallowed my failures time and again, how many more can I take before I just give up on everything?

Failure is my trusted friend, so reliable and so easily reached, anytime of day or night. Failure is a bottle, a knife, a call I forgot to make, some stupid-ass thing not done quite right. Failure is a mist I breathe, failure is all inside me. Failure is my canvas, and rare success my paint. The picture I draw, this picture is incomprehensible streaks of nonsense I call life.
It’s all in your beliefs. I choose to feel good no matter what. The impostors of success & failure are perceptions. How you feel is your choice but you choose to give your power away to an outcome in order to validate your self-worth.
You are brilliant irrespective of how anything goes. Perhaps when you align your perception with who you truly are, you will begin to see and discover the success that you are just because you are, you exist….it’s your being that is what is to be celebrated, not your doing or comparing to anyone about you. Cheers!
