So I reply on bully posts often because I hate hate hate bullies. I dealt with them growing up and thought that in the mature world of adults that we would have moved on from this, but now I have a new bully. I didn’t realize until tonight. The first time we met I really believed that she was a ***** having a bad day. Now after she has apparently lied on me twice to my manager (my manager caught that), I no that she’s just simply got a problem with me. Of course I couldn’t care less if she likes me. However, if she will lie now to my manager, she will lie to customer service…. if she does enough times then I will be fired… Â I’ve found her on Facebook, and I’m thinking bout seeking a restraining order if this happens again. Would I even be able to? Her slander could cause some real hurt to my family if I lose my job. Â I feel like that’s very extreme….

If you have a good track record at work and your manager is aware that she’s lying, hopefully people will have your back if your harasser decides to go to Customer Service, etc. Your best advice might be to consult with an attorney who can provide insight into what the local laws allow you to do… and whether it is prudent or not to take those allowed actions.
Keep in mind that it works both ways. When you visit someone’s Facebook profile, Facebook captures information about your account, your IP, etc. Even if you’re not signed into your account, Facebook still knows that “someone” from your computer (IP address) viewed/accessed her profile.
Again… and personally… I’d grab a “free consultation” with a local attorney and see what they suggest. There are also some “ask an attorney” sites online that you can Google which might help steer you in one direction or another.
It’s not about you. It’s about what she needs to hold her damaged and fragile ego together. You just happen to be handy. I don’t mean to be negative but even if you believe your manager sees through her you just might be getting lip service from them – and you really don’t know what they think. Remember that harassment can take many forms including creating a hostile work environment so put it in proper perspective – she is harassing you and if your manager refuses to take appropriate action you can legally go to someone else, even over your manager’s head. Find out what your HR policy is about harassment and act on it as quickly as possible. Tell your manager you are being harassed and you believe your job is being threatened by it. I’m not saying this will be easy but you have to protect yourself and the people you work for have a legal obligation to take it seriously and take appropriate action.
Haha nozsmoking! This place has protocol for everything, yet, any time a customer calls in, we are treated like dummies. I’m honestly trying for a new job, but if I don’t get it I need this one…
Distant, I’m not on her facebook trying to stalk her, I just needed to know her name in case I need to seek legal action against her. I’m thinking I’ve met her outside of my job and just don’t remember her…iI have to have pissed her off before and now she can miss treatme at work because she knows I’ll pick my job over my ego.
Its just crazy… that I need to concider this over what should be just another customer.
