Probably I have made the worst mistake in my life. I trusted in somebody. I told him that I cut. Things just got worse. He told a girl, and this girl couldn’t keep it a secret neither. Now the rumor is spreading like cancer in school.
I’m scared. I don’t know what will happen if a teacher knows, if my parents know… I need help please. I need someone I can trust. I feel more alone than ever. Now I feel more suicidal… maybe that’s the answer.

I doubt it’s an answer, more “a means to an end”. You trusted in someone and they threw it back in your face? Tough shit. Suck it up and drive on. Sometimes the truth has a habit of setting us free. In your case, I fear it will only serve to further isolate you from your peers due to a breach in trust. The damage has been done, you now need to wait out and see if either this can be bypassed or if confrontation is needed, as in seeking help.
See where this path takes you first, and adapt to those circumstances from thereon.
Sucks when someone betrays your trust like that. I’m sorry.
It’s probably better that your parents know that you cut. It’d be better if you told them then if they found out on their own. If word is out at your school, I’d recommend getting ahead of the cancerous rumor train; and let your fam know.
What? No, listen here, everything is going to be okay. I was in the same situation, they found out, they saw it and yeah I was called a freak and what not but that didn’t stop me from trying harder each day and ignoring the assholes. Three months later, I’m loving life! I was so ready to kill myself that night but something told me to wait. Please listen to me when I say it is going to get better. You’re okay and let them all know, maybe someone worth your time is going to come along and help you. Please.
Just take a deep breath .. first of all, cutting seems so ‘popular’ these days, there’s no guarantee anyone would believe it and take it seriously. Which is by the way, a bad thing. Rumors last less than 3 days – only until the next thing starts circulating. Someone even less than 3 hours – the lack of concentration in teenagers these days is so worrisome.
You should have a counselor at school, and you should go talk to him or her. It’s what they are there for (as in, get paid for). A counselor will not gossip about you, and will got judge you.
If you still feel sick worried about your gossipy friends – you can always say it’s a lie and someone made it up. It’s not like it doesn’t happen every day right? Seriously, don’t stress up so bad about a little juicy gossip!
But please please do seek help.
