Maybe one day I’ll find people in my life who will stay… promises that are constantly made to me by people i get close to are always broken no matter how much they swear up and down saying that they will always be there for me. Maybe in another life that’ll be true…

It’s kind of an idealistic promise made in an emotional moment. Have you made such promises?
i take promises very seriously; i dont make promises I cant or dont intend on keeping

I know what you mean, some people just like to make promises for the fuck of it, I don’t believe them anymore. I am choosing to end my life this week. I am no longer going to reach out to anyone. I realize that has only made things worse, by prolonging my suffering.
A lot of people do. It’s also possible for things to change. People change, sometimes not by alot, and that cN be a good thing. Having a promise to you change into a commitment to a promise for the sake of a promise can be a hollow thing. Sometimes it’s useful to receive the intent (loving intent) behind the promise and let it go. Most folks are just trying to do the best they can.

They could mean it when they promise, but their circumstances later on don’t allow to go through with them. Shit happens out of the blue, can’t always blame the person. Chin up 🙂
