Funny how everyone in this world even the ones you think are “close” to you can never read the fake smile… Funny how everyone thinks everything is peachy when really it’s all a living hell!!
What, you mean to tell me life isn’t peachy?? I guess the jerk in the mirror with the plastic smile is lying to me again…
Actually I have a theory about why the people closest to you are so easily fooled. It’s because they want to believe you’re happy, that they’re doing a good job of helping you.
But I bet a stranger can tell right away if your smile is fake. Because a stranger has nothing to gain or lose by your misery.
I walk these streets sometimes when I’m brave enough and not one person I’ve ever ran into and briefly spoke to on a pass by could ever know. Not saying I want them to or they should I just think it’s humorous.. There’s so many secrets that lay in the minds if the wrecked empty and numb
Yea I can picture that. Even if strangers could spot a soul in distress they probably won’t care enough to take it seriously. I remember watching the documentary The Bridge about suicides at the Golden Gate. There was one guy who left a note saying he was going to walk across the bridge, and if just one person said something nice he wouldn’t jump. He ended up jumping.
