Been home 2 years with back injury. Had a 2 level fusion and it has failed. Have to have another one. My business is gone. I’m financially drained. Nothing gives me joy. I love my wife and dogs and they are the only thing keeping me from doing it….but I am scared that’s not enough with the constant pain. When is enough enough? I know everyone will understand why. Lawyers, Dr’s, Work comp. Nightmare. I give up god, please take me before I do it myself.

I sometimes hope the man upstairs would take me away too. I would do myself but I hold on for my loved ones. I’m suffering but they have a chance to live without the burden of pain everyday in their lives
yeah take me up too god. I am too drained in many aspects.
Before you do the surgery check out The Better Way Back (I think that’s the name of it) website. I can’t vouch for it as I’ve never had the procedure (I don’t have insurance) that they advertise but Bill Walton (retired NBA star) said he was on the verge of suicide for years because of chronic back pain. He had the procedure done and said he’s basically got a new lease on life.
How about inversion therapy or spinal decompression? These methods sometimes give back pain sufferers great relief. Keep in mind that every surgery you have adds more scar tissue to the area (which often leads to nerve compression and ever-increasing pain). I have friends who have done 5-7 back surgeries and are worse off than ever. If you’re going to do another surgery I would definitely not rush into it and explore all your options before going under the knife.
Good luck and peace to you.
