I’m sure some people are tempted to view this site as a bunch of whiners talking about suicide but never doing anything. Or as my own idiot therapist said: “Why talk about it? If you’re going to do it, then do it.”

But the truth is that many SP users have actually gone ahead and done it. They post here as a last stop before the unknown, and then they cross over. So no, we’re not just a bunch of lookie-lous.

Well, it’s officially clear. I am absolutely worthless and can’t do anything right.

I try to make people laugh, and it is instantly qualified as “begging for attention”, unless someone else does/says it, in which case, it’s hilarious.

I try to help out around the house and I get in trouble for not doing it right and yelled at because I am not my brother or sister.

We are always on the top of the list with the highest suicide rates but no Koreans or Japanese here?

I’m doing okay.

Traveling abroad to die

Has anyone considered ending it in a foreign country? This is different from the infamous suicide tourism, which is actually euthanasia & involves paying someone a big sum to legally kill you.

Of all the final destinations on my bucket list, I have been thinking of :

Hanging in a hotel overlooking Eiffel tower
Jumping into Berlin river
Jumping into the river dividing Budapest
Jumping onto NYC subway

Or any of the above methods in Moscow.
There is the Moscow Metro, a number of rivers, and certainly plenty of plush hotel rooms. For a long time I have had this obsession with Russian culture.

I don’t post very much, but I read everything, every day. I’ve seen some pretty insane stories here. Rape victims. Divorces gone terribly awry. Abusive parents, siblings, or other family members. People who lost everything. The list goes on and on; the list of, for lack of a better name, “typically depressed” people.

What is your definition of social introvert and socially awkward?
Have looked up on this but would appreciate individual inputs.

I try to conceal my misanthropy by claiming to be an introvert. Presumably that is less off-putting to others and makes myself feel better. Iâ€™m twenty-one year old guy from the UK. I have anxiety, I get depressed, and I have suicidal thoughts. I use to self-harm but donâ€™t anymore.
