Hi guys, I am new to this site, came across it while looking for an outlet for my negative thoughts. I struggle to talk to people about how I feel, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to live with the loneliness of not being able to express myself. My friends are kind. I can’t stand anything anymore. I’m so bitter about everything. i hate my job, my friends are awful, I am stuck in a town that I have lived in my whole life, i didn’t bother applying for any colleges because my grades always sucked and now I’m stuck going to a stupid community college and I don’t want to go to college right now. As I am typing this, my life on paper sounds like the most ideal life anyone can hope to live. I did drop out of college and my job, but only for a few months as I’m planning to get a part time summer job and take classes again in the Fall (I’m lucky my parents didn’t punch me in the head for what I did). Not Sure Which Way to Go

I am not sure what is going on in my head.

I made the decision to live about a week ago.Â After I told my friend about wanting to die in nature and beauty, on the hillside, I could physically feel the pain that my words caused him.Â

But we had a fight last night, which got me thinking that way again.Â I’ve joined a pro-suicide forum, and working out the details of my plan has brought some comfort.

I have been on a journey now for a few years. A journey of self-discovery is the way I like to think of it now. I began on my path through tragedy. Depression hits us all, I think. There’s not a single person I have spoken to that hasn’t felt it’s clammy hands around their soul. It seems to be caused by many things, from big life changing events, to small things that just build up and knock a person off their feet eventually. I have no outlets to let my stress out or whatever negative thoughts I’m feeling about myself that day, what happens to me is I find distractions through: surfing the internet,watching TV,etc. and at some point everything feels like a distraction because you go to sleep with all those negative thoughts and you just bury them and the pain is still there and it and the next day the cycle repeats, and the days seem to be shorter and everything seems to be moving fast and you feel like you’re being left behind. No matter how bad you feel and how difficult it is to get going – remember that any opportunity is a possible turn of fortune.

The laws of co-incidence mean that situations and people will keep coming into your life, provided you keep getting out there. That means that your future could be better as a chain reaction gets going.

After a head injury one feels troubled for many years and ones thoughts can be dark.

A therapist was explaining to me that one needs to redirect ones thoughts and make new brain patterns or ones thoughts keep going to the same dead end of negativity.

She said just do one thing a day to start.

If you can start by one little step at time to start redirecting ones thoughts thats helping to make a new pattern – a new future for you.

I thought I’d never have to come back here. I thought I was doing fine. I used to severely scratch my skin (around my shoulders and chest so no one could see) to take some extremely negative thoughts out on myself. I had stopped for about 4 days now. Then… today happened.

I’ve never posted here, but I’ve been a lurker for the past 3 or 4 months. I’m currently 18 and two months ago I was put into an intensive outpatient program for depression/anxiety. I was prescribed Wellbutrin and was discharged after 6 weeks. The week after I got discharged I began to have grim thoughts, thoughts that are so grim that I actually made a noose and hung it in my house and made a suicide notes.
