Hi people, This is my second post and I need a little help. So I am in high school and there is a dance coming up. I plan to go but I would try to get a date. My issue is that I may like a girl, but because of my depression, I isolate my emotions and I don’t know how to ask a girl out or get in a relationship. Can anyone give me some advice?

Ugh…High school and asking girls out. Yikes. I remember those days….barely. I don’t have any good advice for you. If you’re dead set on asking someone out..umm..practice in a mirror…psych yourself up…practice on a friend or family member….or dog….or tree….then go for it. Get a running start and do it quick like pulling off a band aide. Then try not to be self critical. Whatever happens, happens. No Big Deal.
Gosh, I’d love to help, but I still haven’t figured it out…
… and I’m in my 40’s.

Also, you should go for it man. Just do it. Ask her to the dance. Steel yourself and go for it.
