Falling so far from yesterday
Slowly, all of the colors fade
Sunshine dancing through the alleyway
Beautifully executed last ballet

And the audience was pleased
To have been the ones to see
Blue eyes turning green
In the limelight of the street

When the curtain is pulled
The whole city will go cold
And the fire from the foxhole
Cannot be controlled

So if you heard it, yesterday
Take back the words you’ll never say
Like “I’m okay,” and “Will you stay?”

I just stumbled across the site two days ago. Decided to start posting today. I have to say it helps. Trying to help others feel better makes me feel better, for now. I guess it is why I have a degree in Psychology. That I don’t use anymore because of chronic illness. Oh well, none about that. I am going to try to go to sleep with thoughts of sunshine and light. lol Thank y’all.

I woke up feeling better than usual today and I’m not sure exactly why…. But I know in the back of my mind that this random feeling of “things are going to be okay” is only temporary like the small ray of sunshine you see through the darkest could in the gray sky it’ll eventually fade away…..

How I feel

If I could try to describe the way I feel it would be like an egg without anything inside. Then imagine that same egg being put under intense pressure. smashed broken and shattered….Its like this feeling in the center of my chest….not physical pain….but it just feels like darkness and despair. Trapped in the home of people who refuse to understand, who think my depression is hiding something, who think I’m lazy rather than my depression is debilitating.

I could take every type of med, go to every type of therapy, I could have sunshine coming out every orifice. It would make no difference.

My life feels like I’m walking on a rock road.. Always cold and dark. Never knowing if I’m going to trip. When I do, I hesitate to get back up. Afraid of tripping and falling again.
