Are you an Atheist?

I can’t really remember the last time I thought there was a God. I don’t think I was ever really into following God or the whole religious thing, either. The only thing I specifically remember that set my atheism in stone is existentialism. That shit changed me.

I’m wondering how many of you are atheist? I know there are some. Did you ever believe? If not, what changed your mind on the whole thing?

Hello, I am a 22-year-old male. Thank you for reading my post. February 2014, I experienced anxiety attacks due to the existential crisis I was having at the time. I couldn’t deal with torment alone and sought help. I started seeing a therapist, and things were still rough, but in my mind, I thought that at least doing something about it was better than nothing at all. Okay so I’m a newly converted atheist at my catholic high school. Some people know and some people don’t. the problem is whenever someone I know/have a high level of respect for walks up to me and ask I deny it… Why why can’t I be myself it makes me feel awful because quite frankly I can’t even tell my folks who are adventists. it so hard. I think I should become christian.I don’t want to go to h*ll,and if I’m atheist then I’d run the risk of going to h*ll if God does exist.When I was christian I was happy but I lost my faith and started feeling alone again.So I think I should at least try to be christian before I think about killing myself.What do you think I should do?

I wonder where I would really go if were to commit suicide today…I guess I fear the unknown , I might’ve killed myself a long time ago if I knew where I was going…I don’t have enough “faith” to be atheist or christian.But I do believe in ghosts , Once I  heard something whisper call my name or I feel like something’s watching me (especially when I’m alone) . For the last 6 months I’ve been suicidal…

If I ever commit suicide there are a couple of things I want to accomplish first…

 

1 become a professional artist (right now I draw in an anime/manga style really good

2 fall in love (once) maybe twice if I’m lucky…

3 go to Japan (maybe Tokyo or Kyoto, or Osaka or Hokkaidō)

4 Become Atheist or Christian (currently I’m an agnostic theist and kind of Buddhist)

5 earn some money

6 buy a motorcycle or a nice car

8 maybe rent an apartment (a really nice one)

9 become healthy (have a healthy heart, have a healthy mind)

There’s not a moment where I think about killing myself/committing suicide. I’ve already tried twice, but I couldn’t do it. I tried to drown myself in the tub. The water was just about up to where my head was at. I put my face/wash towel over my face so I couldn’t breath at all. Then I laid back in the water. Lately my mother has been trying to take me to church. I’ve tried praying and going to church but in all honesty , Religion isn’t something I’m into. almost every night, awful dreams about hiding, being emotionally stripped by what they do to me.

i don’t need to worry about money. i don’t need to worry about what career i should take. i don’t need to worry about how i look. pretty good huh?

I, am a suicide survivor. I know not everyone will believe my story, like I know, but I do ask you to listen to me. I was there.

Living is suffering for me. I know some would say that I should feel like I have a great life. But they are only saying that because of my material objects.
