Hello everyone.
Yes, I’m still here.
I was about to do it but called a very important person to say goodbye. Someone I love very much. Someone I had once but do no longer. They told me that they couldn’t be with me if I was gone. So with that little bit of hope, I put the bottle away. I still have my suicide date set for the day after Thanksgiving (how ironic), but for now, I’m hanging in there.
Thank you to everyone who answered my last post. It meant a lot to me.

But what he didn’t realize is that I may not be anxious, but I am at peace. I am at peace with my depression, my insecurities, my scars, my imperfections, and my horrible thoughts. I may not be living in the present, past, or future, but I am living, and that is all that is important.

Tonight is really bad. I miss my girls so much. This is so hard to keep going through the days when the most important part of your life is gone, yet they are only minutes away and you cant go see them, call them, hug them, tell them you love them. I am at work feeling scattered and not quite apathetic just conflicted. part of me doesn’t care and wants to run out and leave and never come back. Part of me wants to stay because the work I do is important and does help people. Part of me hope an airplane crashes into my building and takes me out. Part of me is focused on the pain in my belly. This really has nothing to do with religion, but is a personal message by someone who happens to be a Buddhist.
The important part of this post is the advice of the writer, based on his own near-suicide attempt, and not Buddhism, which has little opinion on the matter, at least in terms of a coherent theology.
Honestly, I wish I would have found this 20 years ago, but it may help some people, and even the way things are for me now, it has made me stop and think a little more.
