life is boring , boring life. why movies , games , anime / manga, & fantasy / imagination is better than life / real life / real world / reality ?
everyday life is the same : wake up, eat, go to school/work, boring, then go back home, eat, then sleep, then repeat again.
but movie / game / anime / manga / comics / books are much more exciting & interesting than this boring life !
for example: like in the world / universe of Harry Potter, Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Marvel / Marvels, Avengers, X-Men, Divergent / Insurgent , Star Wars, The Hobbits, The Matrix, Sword Art Online (SAO), Skyrim, Log Horizon, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, DOTA, Assassin’s Creed, etc etc
but in real life / real world / reality everything is only all about money
& also shallow, superficial, stupid / dumb things like sex, party / partying , fight over religions, race, ethnicity, & even small little unimportant things ! god I swear that I hate people / humans / humanity sometimes !
anyone also feel the same ? anyone can relate ?
(PS: have you heard of things like Virtual Reality (VR), Oculus Rift, and then also Lucid Dreaming / Lucid Dream , Astral Projection, Out of Body (OBE) experiences ? .. I wish those things are real, so I can escape this boring life ! )

Real life really is boring, and completely pointless.
I guess the fact that these worlds are NOT real is what makes them much more interesting and fun. But i bet the moment if they ever become real they’ll eventually end up the same, or at least in some way.
People are stupid in real life, and if they were to ‘invade’ any sort of other world i bet they would infect it with their nonsense.
I can relate at least, i prefer virtual space much more than reality.
VR looks really nice but just putting googles on your head aren’t enough for me.
I hope sometime in the future they’re going to take it a few steps forward… as dangerous as that might be.
There are tricks to make lucid dreams happen, but me personally it never ends well for me so i don’t bother.
You can try and look that up and try these if you like.
I feel the same way. People suck and money means everything now a days.
How great would it be…if I could push a button and disappear.
Every now and again I have a dream that I just really want to cling to and stay in instead of going on to the real world. The really depressing thing is that half the time it’s not even anything fantastic. I had a dream like this last night and while a few odd things happened, literally the only thing that stuck with me was that I had a girlfriend who I really connected to. It was just like a feeling that I wish I could have in real life. That’s not really what you’re talking about though.
But as a boy I always fantasized about suddenly getting superpowers and stuff like that. I’ve recently realized that the appeal that fantasies like these had on me was that it just simplifies everything. Instead of having all of these mixed feelings and uncertainties about what I’m supposed to do or whether I’m being the good guy, I would just automatically have some sort of set path to go down.
I don’t know, but throughout the past few years I’ve been trying to convince myself that real life really does have the same appeal and romanticism as these fantasies do. I don’t know what your passion is, but as a kid I was always inspired by Star Trek. And even though a lot of it is romanticized and fantastical, the premise of that show is something we can aspire to. I’m an engineering major in my first year at a university right now, and I keep trying to tell myself that with enough discipline and hard work, I’ll end up at a point where I’ll be satisfied that I’ve helped step man in that direction. But you’re right. A lot of stupid real-life stuff gets in the way.
I’m sorry if this comment seems self centered or rude or anyway. But my suggestion is that maybe, instead of simply dreaming of being in these worlds, you can pick out the specific ideal aspects of these worlds that really impact you. And make that your purpose for real life. Aspire to move this world toward whatever is so great about these fictional worlds. I don’t know if you’ve found your primary talent or passion (like what you want to do with your life) yet, but if you apply this to whatever you think your purpose might be, you might be more satisfied with real life.
Of course I haven’t really perfected that in my own life, so I’m not trying to act like that is the right way to live your life. I’m trying to follow this advice too. Maybe just take it as a suggestion, or into consideration sometime. And, although everything I’ve said seems to be to the contrary, there’s obviously nothing wrong with enjoying these fantasy worlds, either.
niki ,
obviously you are young, on the right track, but you still can’t figure out why? that comes with wisdom and time,.
niki you part of the game
The universes you just bored
In short: If life wasn’t boring, there wouldn’t be an entertainment industry.
I feel ya though. I like the same things. Tis but life. Que Será Será.
Wow I wish I have lucid dreams too and escape from this world. If it ‘s possible…
We’re just tired from this world’s bullshits. And I really hope this world will end soon. I remember my first suicide attempt when I was 8 yo. I just hate this world and people around me. But I would advice you to search some new hobby. Well, I think i survived because of this too. I started to draw, painting and now I’m learning languages – france, japan, german. New hobbies at least bring me some hope to finish them and start another one. :))
